Russia has once again threatened the United States with nuclear war while boasting of its alleged ability to wipe out the East and West coast with just four missiles.
In a new chilling threat to the West, Kremlin mouthpieces discussed nuking America so that there “will be nothing left.”
Speaking on Russian state TV Rossiya 1, talk show host and member of Putin’s parliament Alexei Zhuravlev said it would take just two Sarmat 2 missiles to destroy the entire East coast and an additional two to annihilate the West coast.
Referring to the CBS News piece in which presenter Tony Dokoupil discussed the aftermath of a bomb similar to the one dropped on Hiroshima potentially striking New York, Zhuravlev mocked the predicted casualties and damage saying there would be no one left should Russia unleash its new Satan 2 ICBM.
“Guys, you’re so funny. What methods are they even using?” the TV host said in a jab at the CBS News model.
“I will competently tell you, that to destroy the entire East Coast of the US, two Sarmat missiles are necessary and two missiles for the West Coast.
“Four missiles, and there will be nothing left. They think the mushroom cloud will be taller than a high rise. That mushroom cloud will be visible from Mexico.”
He added: “Don’t delude yourselves. What should be said is that there’ll be nothing left, no-one harbors any illusions about it, that everyone will be fine in case of nuclear war.
“No one will be fine, but calculate it correctly.”
The latest warning is one of many nuclear threats Russia has issued to the West amid its failed invasion of Ukraine and sanctions imposed on Russia by Ukraine’s supporters.
It comes after Russia successfully tested its most powerful missile yet. RS-28 Sarmat, also known as Satan 2, is a massive, 116-foot-long intercontinental ballistic missile with a range of 22,000 miles.
The missile can reach any target on the planet and can be equipped with up to 15 nuclear warheads at the same time.
