While the billionaire was praised for her “energetic” and “powerful” performance by her fans, she also became the center of criticism after it was revealed she touched her crotch and her butt before sniffing her hand at one point during her performance.

“I thought the Rihanna’s crotch rubbing was particularly off-putting. Totally unnecessary,” one person said.

“Low energy and disgusting. Why did she grab her crotch, then smell it!! Horrible show for our kids!” another complained.

A third wrote: “It was definitely a low point. These halftime shows really should be appropriate for family viewing.”

One disappointed viewer said: “What’s with all these artists in red latex sniffing and grinding?”

Some people also slammed the singer for performing her expletive single ‘B**** Better Have My Money’ saying it is not appropriate for young children who were watching the show.

On a more positive note, the singer surprised her fans and the audience as she announced her second pregnancy by showing off her growing baby bump.

After welcoming her first baby back in May 2022, Rihanna admitted she was reluctant to sign on her performance at this year’s Super Bowl because she had just become a mother.

“I was like, ‘You sure? I’m three months postpartum. Should I be making major decisions like this right now? I might regret this,’” she said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world — you can do anything.

“And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, so as scary as that was … there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all. It’s important for my son to see that.”
