The cops have revealed a tragic discovery after locating human remains during the search of a 62-year-old woman that went missing one week ago.

Laurel Aldridge vanished after leaving her residence, causing the cops to launch an urgent search to find her.

The family says it is opening up about a new type of devastation right now. They never imagined that this would be the end result of the search, leaving them in absolute heartbreak and a moment of silence as they take in the news.

Laurel was the sister-in-law of Mackenzie Crook who was reported missing one week back. But seeing this happen is heartbreaking.

She was reported missing from Walberton in West Sussex on February 14 as the cops continued to look for her in the surrounding areas. They took on witnesses that may have reported seeing her but they were yet to make any major discovery.

But today, the Sussex police confirmed they located a body while searching for her.

It was tragic how the heartbreaking discovery was reported near her residence. And that led to an outpouring of grief and tributes from loved ones and other members of the community for this incident.

Her son confirmed the news on social media. He says that it was not what they had hoped for but after a tiring and exhausting search, they found Laurel.

“I can confirm that she was found lying in a beautiful woodland and now she is at peace”- his statement continued. He also wrote about how all loved ones will dearly miss her every single day. And also how proud they were of all the things that she had achieved in such a short amount of time.
