A pregnant woman died tragically while on her way to surprise her loved ones with baby news.
24-year-old Chloe Stott from Utah was on her way to Arizona with her husband to surprise their families ahead of Christmas after discovering she was pregnant.
During the cross-state trip, the young couple got into a massive car accident near Wickenburg in Maricopa County that killed the expecting mother and made her husband fight for his life.
“They had just found out they were pregnant and were so excited to be parents and share the news with their loved ones over Christmas,” a GoFundMe page launched to support the family read.
It has since the tragedy been revealed that both Chloe and her unborn baby passed away in the crash, whereas the woman’s husband, Parker, remains in critical condition.
According to the police, the pair plowed head-on into a commercial truck after failing to complete a pass while passing vehicles in a legal passing zone with their pickup truck.
“At 8:30 pm Wednesday evening they were involved in a tragic car accident that took the life of Chloe and their precious baby boy. Parker was life-flighted to the Arizona Burn Center where he is under intense care to save his life,” the GoFundMe page adds.
“The purpose of the GoFundMe is to provide the necessary financial support for a young family whose lives changed in the blink of an eye. Medical bills, financial support and funeral services among many other reasons. Any support and prayers for this family will make a difference.”
Our thoughts remain with Chloe’s loved ones during this challenging time.
