The New Jersey police department is being heavily criticized after its recent handling of a mall attack incident.
Local media outlets claim that two police officers were seen handcuffing a black teenage boy, right before they violently pinned him down to the ground.
However, the other white teenage boy involved was not dealt with in the same manner. Instead, he was allowed to sit and watch on a coach as the event took place.
The startling incident reportedly took place at the Bridgewater Commons, right after a police response that has now gone viral and led to an immediate internal investigation regarding the matter.
Video footage from the incident has now been released to the public and for that reason, so many people are criticizing the police and demanding a justification for the racist behavior.
Witnesses claim that the teenage boys began arguing with one another right before the incident took a turn for the worst and things started to get violent and very physical,
The two boys involved even went as far as exchanging punches and shoves with one another, as shown in the video.
Just a few seconds later, the cops are informed and they arrive immediately at the scene of the violent brawl.
And that’s when they pull the teenage boy away from the other black teen and push him towards a couch nearby, where he is allowed to sit in a comfortable manner.
On the other hand, the black teen is already pinned down to the ground and one of the officers can also be seen placing his knee over the teen’s back, as revealed in the shocking video footage.
Moments later, the female cop leaves the white teen alone and assists her colleague in placing a knee over the black teen’s neck as the duo begins to handcuff him.
This whole time, the white teen can be seen viewing the entire incident in peace without anyone restricting him. And that’s when one witness jumps in to mention how the boy on the ground is black and that’s why he’s being treated this way, adding how the entire incident was racially motivated.
