A plus-size drag queen from Philadelphia has reportedly died while performing at a gay bar recently.
According to local media outlets, 25-year-old Valencia Prime died mid-way during her performance while she stood on stage and began to host her own gig. But little did she know that this would be her final performance.
The drag queen suddenly took a hard fall after collapsing mid-way through the event, leaving so many onlookers rushing by her side to see if she was okay.
Paramedics and the police were immediately notified and informed about the shocking death.
Her family described the young starlet as someone that was extremely loving, humble, and bright. They said she was a rising star who had her whole future ahead of her. But they had no idea she would leave them all soon.
Meanwhile, a long list of heartbreaking tributes has begun pouring in her honor. The Tabu Lounge and Sports Bar are also hosting an event in her honor and asking for donations that will be given to her family to prepare for the funeral.
The medical examiner has ruled the victim’s death as one due to heart disease. They also claimed that her diabetes and obesity got in the way. And as a result of all of these factors, she died in the end.
Paramedics rushed her over to Jefferson Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.
The news has sent shockwaves in the drag world. The family has since then begun a GoFundMe and managed to raise a staggering amount of money. This has been $13,875 so far. But their initial goal was $8000, so they’re more than grateful for all the well-wishers who have come forward and helped in this matter.
