“On the 14th of April we learnt of the tragic news that Madison’s husband Stephen was killed in the line of duty as a paramedic. Stephen was a paramedic with the NSW Ambulance Service and was posted to Southern Sydney. Madison and Stephen are locals to the Wollongong region,” the page reads.

“It’s just devastating. We go to work to help people in need and all we want to do is go home to our families in one piece.”

Breaking into tears, NSW Health Secretary Susan Pearce said: “The health system is one big family and to lose someone in this way is just incomprehensible to us. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the wife and family of the paramedic.”
