The new laws that have arisen in Southern Australia mentioned how this was a landmark affair. And not a lot of people had heard of something like this, for obvious reasons.

But Lily Thai says she couldn’t be happier. It’s a moment of grief for her loved ones but after being diagnosed with a very painful condition, she is trying her best to make it pass each day, just barely. Hence, getting rid of her pain forever, she feels is the best way forward.

The state enacted the self-dying laws at the start of this year and we can see why it’s so popular across the board. More and more people today want to end their lives voluntarily because rare conditions don’t have a lot of cures that would help get rid of the disease.

Therefore, ending their life through such a means seems to be their savior.

Lily has reportedly been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called autonomic ganglionopathy. And in simple terms, it’s a condition where a person’s own body attacks their nervous system.

Therefore, the person remains in a constant state of agony and is bedridden, worsening the matter.

Lilly is getting palliative care at the Flinders Medical Center’s Laurel Hospice but papers have been signed off last week confirming her decision to end her life through this new euthanasia law.
