Sources from local media outlets claim the 78-year-old driver ran over his wife’s best friend by mistake. And the excuse being put forward by the family is that he pressed the accelerator instead of the brake as he was confused.

Reports have confirmed how he slammed into his wife’s friend, his own wife, and another woman accompanying them.

The victim named Barbara Daniels died on the spot, due to the critical injuries she had sustained. But the driver couldn’t process what he had done. He revealed how he had stepped on the wrong pedal instead of braking. The accelerator knocked her down, causing instant death.

Sources have gone on to speak about how Mrs. Daniels’s family failed to see any form of hate or malice inside the driver’s heart. They are deeply saddened by the tragic act but know deep down inside that nothing was intentional.

The 78-year-old driver named Henry Booth did appear in court for crushing the victim to death but was soon released afterward, being spared from jail, local media outlets confirmed.
