One woke writer is making sure she’s had the last word on the controversial Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at last year’s Oscars incident.
According to Candice McDuffie, Chris Rock deserved the treatment and there should be no sympathy generated against the comedian. And that’s because she feels what he did was unacceptable on national television.
“He was only reaping the consequences of his actions. And that’s it!”- she further explained.
Candace McDuffie is known for speaking her mind and not shying away from how she feels. Therefore, you can only imagine how she certainly did not hold back when it came down to the comedian and how she felt about the slaps that rocked the Oscars event last year.
Candace says that this slap was not an accident or a mistake but definitely a life lesson for the comedian who felt that he can say anything and everything so conveniently.
Moreover, she further elaborated upon how Rock has been antagonizing Black Women for years. And it was necessary for him to be punished for his actions.
Speaking to Don Lemon on CNN this morning, she says that it’s high time that the comedian is held accountable for his brutal actions. And if it was not for Will Smith, he’d carry on for years and not think before speaking twice.
The news comes after the comedian was witnessed speaking about the infamous incident on his new stand-up comedy show which aired on Netflix recently.
