Eight models were subjected to violent assault at gunpoint by 84 men in South Africa recently.
The incident is believed to have taken place during a music video shoot, which was reportedly hijacked by the alleged assailants.
According to reports from local media outlets, the shocking crime took place during filming, leaving the women in a state of absolute fear as they tried to carry on with their gospel song but that just wasn’t the case as the men refused to allow them to continue.
Instead, they each grabbed the women and took turns in gang r*ping them, one by one. Moreover, each victim is believed to have been attacked at least ten times during the same day.
The exact location of the incident was identified to be Johannesburg where the models varied between the ages of 19 and 37. They were busy shooting for a gospel song near an illegal gold mine where the workers happened to be present.
As of now, the police have made mass arrests and around 82 illegal miners who were believed to have been involved are in police custody. They are due in court soon, where their DNA will be tested to confirm their involvement in the horrifying crime, sources revealed.
South Africa has the world’s third highest crime rate for r*pe and other similar violence as confirmed by recent stats online.
Meanwhile, the shocking incident has led to worldwide condemnation of the brutal attack as many took to the streets in the country to raise their voice. These protesters are urging the government to roughen up the steps taken to punish such abuses.
To be more specific, calls for chemical castration of such suspects are what many want and are hoping for years. And the outcry has become stronger, after this terrifying incident, local media reports claim.
