A young mother was shot dead in front of her two children during a heated argument with her boyfriend.
27-year-old Frances Kendra Lucero From California was gunned down by her partner and the father of her two children, aged 3 and 4, after the pair got into a fight during a family dinner in Daly City.
The incident took place on Monday, March 6, whereas the mother-of-two was shot four times while trying to run away from 27-year-old Romier Narag.
Shortly after the brutal shooting at around 7.30 pm, Narag was arrested and booked into jail on the charges of murder and child endangerment on top of carrying a concealed loaded firearm.
“To my built-in best friend. I never imagined myself typing out something like this for you. You were my best friend, my sister, my 2nd mom, my platonic soulmate,” Frances’s sister wrote in a heartbreaking tribute to her sibling.
“I will forever love you and miss you. I wish I could just hug you one more time. Get one more conversation with you. I will forever be blessed with being able to call myself Frances Kendra’s little sister.”
She added: “Brother, Dad, Me and Mom will be okay. You rest now ate. I pray you’re not in pain anymore. I pray you’re at peace. My guardian angel. I love you so much.”
It has since come to light that the young woman’s children are now in the care of her family.
“Frances dedicated her life to her children and always spread the love she had to share. She was the most genuine, thoughtful, loyal and ambitious woman we’ve all been blessed to know,” the Lucero family expressed as they started a GoFundMe page to raise funds for Frances’ memorial service and for her young children.
“Frances was that friend that would help you celebrate good times and provide nothing but support during the bad times. She was a beautiful Mother, daughter, sister, and friend who touched countless lives of those around her.”
