Shocking reports have gone on to speak about a doctor performing a c-section operation on a pregnant mother, only to realize that the baby was premature afterward.
On that note, the doctor took the decision to stitch up the pregnant mom again, who is currently said to be battling for her life after the surgery.
According to local media outlets, doctors realized the baby was a few months premature but that was after they had opened her up to carry out the procedure.
This particular surgery was conducted by a senior physician who goes by the name of Dr. AK Biswas and hails from Karimganj Civil Hospital.
At the moment, the reasons are still not clear why the surgery was performed by such a senior physician in the first place. After all, there were still several months left till the delivery date. Hence, opening up the mom’s womb three months in advance has raised a lot of questions in people’s minds.
“Just seconds after the incision was made, the doctor realized the huge blunder. On that note, he began to stitch her back up again. And then she was later sent home to recover”- authorities have gone on to mention.
The Doctor who has been criticized for going against the laws and carrying out this procedure says he did not wish or intend on doing it. However, he was left with no choice.
According to him, it was the family’s wish and not his.
“I knew the date was not for now.point 198 | But we do sometimes carry out premature surgeries if the case is complicated”- he further went on to mention.point 295 |
And then he spoke about how the mom was enduring severe pain and that’s why they urged him to carry on but when he opened up the womb and saw how premature the child was, he stitched her up again.point 163 | 1
