It was a tragedy of the worst kind after a 26-year-old Ukrainian mother was pictured breaking down in tears after finding her 4-year-old son’s dead body.
The victim was identified as Sasha Zdanovych who reportedly went missing nearly 26 days back when he tried to flee the war-torn nation with his grandmother.
The duo tried to escape and take refuge at a safer location and hence traveled through a boat. Unfortunately, the boat overturned, killing all those on board including the innocent child.
Sasha’s 60-year-old grandmother also died when their boat vessel overturned at the River Dnieper which is said to be near the capital city of Kyiv.
The grieving mother revealed how those on board were wearing lifejackets but they still couldn’t escape the torment and terror of Putin’s forces.
“The boat overturned because of suspected Russian gunfire. They aimed it at innocent civilians who were trying to escape”- the mother could be heard crying.
While the grandmother’s body was immediately recovered from the tragic site, the mother revealed how little Sasha couldn’t be found. And that created a little hope for the mother that maybe he survived.
But now, the hope has diminished and turned into nothing but grief as the mother mourns the loss of her innocent and precious mother and child.
“He was my only child, He is gone and can never come back”- these were the mother’s emotional comments.
The mother thanked all those who took part in the search and also those who took out the time to pray for her only child. She promised to meet her son one day in heaven while sending out prayers for him and others that lost their lives in this awful tragedy.
