Ryker Webb, who was reported missing on Friday afternoon, was last seen playing with their dog in their family backyard in Troy, Montana.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said that search efforts for the child were hampered by “very poor weather conditions which consisted of rain, low visibility, and low ceiling.”

Temperatures on Saturday fell into minus 40s, with a quarter-inch of rain hitting the ground.

Speaking to KREM, Lincoln County Sheriff Darren Short said that the young boy’s family was very distraught during his disappearance.

“He and his dad were in the yard, the father went inside the home for a moment and when he went back outside, the child was gone,” Short said on Saturday. “We have a very distraught family and a lot of concern over him.”

Search teams were deployed, along with dog teams, a boat unit, and several drones.
