JUST IN: 2-Year-Old Missing Boy Is Found Dead After He Disappeared From His Family Home At Night


A 2-year-old boy who went missing overnight was found dead some half a mile from his family home.

Baby Ares Muse was declared missing on the night of September 11 after disappearing suddenly from his home in Okemah, Oklahoma.

As the Muscogee Creek Nation Lighthouse Police Department has since confirmed, the baby boy’s body was found a day later, on Monday morning, some eight hundred yards from his family home.

According to the reports, it is believed that the child managed to get past three locked doors before walking away from his home.

While his parents were not identified in most reports, a funeral service named the boy’s parents Nikita Muse and Betty Flanagan.

The boy’s father, Nikita, has since also been pictured carrying his baby son shortly after he joined the family.

As of this writing, the cause of death remains unclear. Nikita, however, claimed that the boy went missing sometime after 1.30 am after crawling into his parents’ bed for comfort.

“We talked all day long about wanting a good outcome, and we didn’t get that,” Jason Salsman, a Muscogee Nation spokesperson, said in a statement after the tragic discovery.

“It’s unfortunate, but that doesn’t take away from the effort and from how we need to be there in our hearts and minds for this family.”

Speaking out was also Ares’ grandmother who called the baby boy the “pride and joy” of their family.

“Ares was a sweet boy. Just short of his 3rd birthday. He loved his mom, dad and sister very much and was a second son to his aunt,” the GoFundMe page set up for the family reads.
