The body of the missing schoolgirl named Charlise Mutten has reportedly been located inside a barrel by the police.
According to local media reports, the innocent nine-year-old child’s stepdad named Justin Stein drove around with the child’s remains for nearly five hours as he tried to figure out where to dump her body.
Now, Justin Stein who is 31 years old faces murder charges, as stated by the police.
“He drove around Sydney for hours with her body lying inside the back of a boat that was attached with his car. He then spotted a river and hence chose to dump the body inside a barrel that was located on the riverside,” revealed the cops.
The heartbreaking revelation was made by the police during the later hours of Tuesday near the Colo River, which is about an hour’s drive from the exact location where the girl disappeared.
Police have also alleged how the monster stepdad managed to carry out the brutal crime without letting his fiance know. She was the child’s mother and had left her in his care. But little was she aware of his evil intentions of murdering the innocent child.
The last time that the child was reported to be alive was Tuesday night and that’s the same day that the mother had dropped her off.
Detectives following the case mentioned how she was killed within a span of 15 hours after that as they managed to retrace his footsteps with the help of CCTV surveillance, right after he purchased a large number of sandbags and then filled up his boat’s tank, in an effort to launch it from a dock in Sydney.
But when he saw that the boat was not operable, he opted to dump the barrel that contained the child’s remains near a river and attempted to make a quick run for it.
