Hundreds recently gathered at Times Square to mourn a woman who passed away in the most tragic circumstances.
On Tuesday night, many took part in the mass vigil that was held in memory of a woman who became the victim of a subway-shove incident.
Now, her close pal is revealing some heartbreaking words about how the woman called New York her home and how much she adored the city, adding how there is no place in the world that she would rather be than here.
Michelle Go passed away while standing and waiting for her turn at the subway station. And that’s when all of a sudden, a man by the name of Martial Simon pushed her in front of the train, leading to her tragic death.
The recent horrific incident is being labeled as a hate crime by the New York Police Department as plenty of groups like Asians Fighting Injustice are requesting officials to address the soaring crime rates that appear to target Asians amid an increasing amount of hate.
Another close friend of the victim explained how she was a travel enthusiast that never forgot to prepare a well-planned agenda ahead of her journeys. “She just adored traveling and we probably did a dozen trips together,” he explained.
“She was never afraid of difficult tasks. She was what you call a glass ceiling breaker and by that I mean she never feared any challenges that came her way, her pal named Duggal added.
“She never saw her attacker. She was just standing there waiting for the next train as the rest of us do on a daily basis,” another one of her loved ones added.
Many fear that this victim could have been them and for that reason, they hope cops can help bring an end to crimes like these before things get out of hand.
