Actor Mark Wahlberg says he can never deny faith but it’s a major sin in the Hollywood industry.

The devout Catholic Christan says that denying faith is one of the biggest sins of them all and if that makes him hugely unpopular in this entertainment industry, then so be it.

The news comes as the celeb says he’s starting the month of Lent with an Ash Wednesday cross printed across his forehead.

However, the 51-year-old Ted actor explained how he adores talking about faith that’s something instilled in him since his childhood. But he does not feel the need to preach it to others or ‘jam it down other people’s throats’.

In the same way, the actor explained how catholicism is what has encouraged him to be such a wonderfully great person while appearing on the Today Show recently.

Ash Wednesday is the beginning of a period of Lent that lasts for 40 days. But it wouldn’t be wrong to mention how a lot of fans and viewers were appalled to see the big cross on the forehead. This is not something that they had been expecting.

Mark continued to speak about how faith was so important for obvious reasons. He called it a balancing act that not a lot of people can probably relate to. But he surely does and hopes something, others would understand how important it is to attain success and well-being in the fast pace world.

“I do not deny my faith, this is something that I wish to let you all know”- he adds.

When the star was questioned more about what exactly faith means to him, he says that it’s everything. Moreover, he claims that it has afforded him a lot in his life. And that’s why no matter what, it would be such an integral component of his life.
