A suspected child abuser was rushed to the hospital after being confronted by authorities recently.
The child predator was still alive when authorities witnessed him slashing his own throat using a knife. Moreover, he even opted to document the horrifying and gruesome act via a Livestream on his Facebook account.
Thankfully, he was alive and immediately taken to a nearby medical facility to seek treatment for his self-inflicted injuries. Now, he has been arrested and is in police custody, as confirmed by local media outlets.
“It was a large vigilante group of pedophile hunters that managed to grab a hold of the suspect. Now, he is being treated for the allegations of grooming a young child”- mentioned the police chief of the area.
The horrifying video was live-streamed from Liverpool but since then, the clip has been removed.
In the distressing video, the man can be seen reaching for his car door and then holding a sharp blade-like instrument to his neck. And that’s when another man can be seen screaming and shouting at him to stop.
“Get that off now, call the police now!”- are the types of sounds that could be heard.
The man’s identity is yet to be unveiled but it was believed that he was 55 years old and had been grooming a 14-year-old boy from Kirkby in Merseyside.
While the injuries he inflicted on himself were of the serious kind, he is currently stable, the police have confirmed.
As of now, an investigation is underway as officers carefully scrutinize CCTV footage and question a few witnesses to get more clues about the allegation of abuse against the suspect.
