A 63-year-old man from Saudi Arabia is being dubbed the polygamist of the century after opting to marry 53 different women in a span of 43 years.
According to local media outlets, the man revealed how he carried out the act because he was searching for the perfect match and all of the rest that he tied the knot with were just not what he was looking for.
Abu Abdullah claims his multiple marriages were never done in harm or with malicious intent but to pursue happiness, stability, and peace. He also claims to have dealt with his wives happily and equally, giving each the respect they deserved.
He also mentioned that it had nothing to do with personal pleasure or satisfaction but was done with the right intentions. But as you can expect, the news isn’t being taken well worldwide, as it continues to raise plenty of eyebrows from those taking notice.
Abdullah is believed to have first said, ‘I do’ when he was just 20, and his shortest marriage lasted for just a day.
Meanwhile, reports from one of the top-selling Arab newspapers claim that Abdullah has finally found the woman of his dreams, whom he calls the one or perfect partner. Therefore, he says that the struggle was hard, but for him, it was worth it in the end. And now, he has no plans of carrying out any more marriages in the future.
Abdullah adds that it was never his intention to marry more than one woman at the start. But when things didn’t work out, he changed his partners frequently until he found ‘the one.’
And that took decades. Although he had children in the first marriage, he soon realized this partnership was not right for him.
On that note, he informed his wife about his plans to remarry, and the habit continued for years.
