In the video William Redden shared with the police, he can be seen dragging the body of Stephanie Lynn Shenefield, 38, before dumping the mother-of-two in a ditch.

According to reports, the missing woman had stayed at his house in Palmetto.

She was then reported missing two days later as her friends grew concerned when she did not show up to a concert they planned to attend.

Shenefield was reported missing by her mother. She said that they immediately “knew something was wrong” when they hadn’t heard from her.

Her electronic devices led officers to Redden’s home.

When police asked Redden if they could check his surveillance footage, he handed it to them and said that it did not show anything inside his house.

However, officers were shocked to find a video of him dragging the missing woman’s lifeless body across the ground.

Police said that Shenefield was last seen on June 3 in 5300 block of 16th Street E in Bradenton. She reportedly took an Uber to Redden’s home at 1:20 am.

Redden was an alleged drug dealer.

A TikTok video from February also showed Redden laughing while talking about his friend’s girlfriend’s lifeless body.

“An old friend just called me and told me police just called and found his girlfriend’s body,” he said in the clip.

“I asked, what do you mean how did they find your girlfriend’s body. I don’t know because where they find it is not where I put it.”

Speaking to Daily Mail, Manatee County Sheriff spokesperson Randy Warren said that the TikTok video was shared months ago and there is not related to the case.

“I think the subject manner is very ironic about how he talks about a body being disposed of but we have been investigating the case for the last two weeks and don’t see a connection,” he said.

“It is a death investigation,” Warren continued. “The autopsy showed there are no signs of trauma. We are waiting on the toxicology report which will determined if there were any drugs in her (Shenefield’s) system and possibly an accidental overdose.”

Manatee County Sheriff Rick Wells said the mother-of-two died inside the house. Instead of calling for help, Redden allegedly disposed of her body.

“Stephanie was badly decomposed. It took us a while to identify her and notified the family,” Wells said.
