The father says that all the nurses and medical staff present during his delivery kept on calling him ‘mom’ throughout his stay, despite the fact that he was a man. He even revealed how his entire pregnancy checkups also had so many referring to him as a female and it was beyond outrageous for him.

37-year-old Bennett Kaspar Williams who originally hails from the city of Los Angeles says that he actually realized that he was a trans around ten years back.

Six years later, he found his partner named Malik in 2017, who was soon to be his future husband. The duo married in the year 2019.

For the couple, children meant the world and they were ready to become parents and that’s when they started to weigh out the numerous possibilities put down in front of them as it meant that he had to stop his testosterone hormone therapy that he was on for a number of years.

Since Bennett had surgery on his upper body half but not his genitalia, he opted to both conceive and carry his own child.

Two years after he started his hormone therapy, Bennett underwent breast removal surgery, where he paid nearly $5000 for the procedure.

“That surgery was a liberating feeling and I really needed to get that done,” he explained.

But now, the father of one says that it’s important for people to stop defining womanhood in terms of womanhood as it is a ‘false equivalency.’

“We need to rethink the facts that all mothers carry their children, all women can be mothers, and how all people that carry kids are mothers.”
