BREAKING: Family Of Louisville Bank Shooter Speaks Out


The family of the Louisville bank shooter who killed five has spoken out and condemned the “senseless” mass shooting.

25-year-old Connor Sturgeon shot dead five senior executives while injuring eight people after storming Old National Bank on East Main Street with a legally-purchased AR-15.

In the confrontation with the police, Sturgeon was shot and killed but not before shooting one officer in the head.

Days after the horrific mass shooting, Sturgeon’s family spoke out and condemned the young man’s actions while claiming he had mental health challenges.

“No words can express our sorrow, anguish, and horror at the unthinkable harm our son Connor inflicted on innocent people, their families, and the entire Louisville community,” the family’s statement read.

“We mourn their loss and that of our son, Connor. We pray for everyone traumatized by his senseless acts of violence and are deeply grateful for the bravery and heroism of the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department.”

The 25-year-old’s parents went on to blame the shooting on their son’s “mental health challenges” saying they were “actively” working on the issues he was suffering from.

“There were never any warning signs or indications he was capable of this shocking act. While we have many unanswered questions, we will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement officials and do all we can to aid everyone in understanding why and how this happened,” the statement concluded.

Speaking out about the massacre was also 24-year-old Dallas Whalen who was living with Sturgeon prior to the attack at the bank.

As Whalen’s attorney told DailyMail.com, he had no idea his friend and roommate had been planning a mass shooting.

“It was as unknown and surprising to Dallas as everybody,” the lawyer said.

He further revealed that Sturgeon had texted his family saying ‘I love you’ moments before opening fire at the Louisville bank.
