A heartbroken mother is speaking out about her son’s tragic death which took place through the hands of a pitbull.
Jack Lis reportedly died after he was mauled by the wild beast in November of 2021. And now, his mother awaits more justice after the pet dog’s owners received sentencing that she felt was ‘not even close to justice!’
The owner who is named Brandon Hayden was reportedly jailed for just four years to compensate for the young boy’s loss in June. But the mother feels that her son deserves a little more respect than that and is now calling for an appeal to have the sentences longer.
The horrified mother says that this is not what she was expecting from the country’s justice system, adding how no one knows what it feels like to have a loved one torn up into bits by a giant muscular dog that weighed a staggering 96 lbs.
Other than Brandon, the other owner named Amy Salter has received a sentencing of three years as they were reportedly in charge of the animal who charged at the young boy, leaving him with critical injuries that he just couldn’t survive.
The schoolboy was on his way home when the beast attacked him in South Wales.
“I will continue to fight for my little son for as long as it takes. He deserves justice and I will be the one to make sure he gets it”- the mom by the name of Ms. Whitfield revealed while filing a petition for the case’s ruling in public recently.
“Deep down inside, I am so scared that my baby won’t get justice but I will fight because that’s what I owe him. He was innocent. He did not deserve to die such a tragic death”- the heartbroken mom continued.
