Hollywood legend Leonardo DiCaprio has come under fire after rumors that he is dating a 19-year-old model.
In recent years, the Titanic star was frequently spotted in the company of girlfriends under the age of 25.
It appears, however, that he might have struck a “new low” with a teenage model and influencer, 19-year-old Eden Polani.
The rumors kicked off after the actor was spotted alongside Polani at singer Ebony Riley’s extended play release party on January 31.
While Polani stayed closely by the actor’s side during the event, Leo’s most recent girlfriend, 23-year-old Victoria Lamas, was nowhere to be seen.
Following allegations that Leo has once again replaced his girlfriend with a younger alternative, Twitter users couldn’t help but take a jab at the actor.
“Leonardo DiCaprio’s new girlfriend wasn’t even born when Titanic was released,” one user raged.
“Kate Winslet was 22 when she was nominated for an Oscar for Titanic. Which is 3 years older than Leonardo DiCaprio’s current girlfriend,” another wrote.
“Leonardo DiCaprio’s new girlfriend is so young that her high school education was interrupted by COVID-19, weird,” a third said.
One user pondered: “Someone please explain to me what a man nearing 50 has in common with *checks notes* a 19 year old?”
Some people, however, ran to the actor’s defense saying others shouldn’t meddle in his private life because it’s none of their business.
“They’re both adults and they can do whatever they want even if you don’t like it,” someone said.
“Leave him alone, it’s his life not yours,” another argued.
Furthermore, a source told E! News that Leo and Eden were seated next to each other by coincidence and that the two of them sharing a chat doesn’t mean they’re dating.
“Leo and Eden just so happen to have been seated next to each other at the party and were hanging in the same group. Just because Leo might be talking to or sitting with a girl doesn’t mean he’s dating her,” the insider claimed.
