While the terms women and beard don’t usually go hand in hand, this next story about a young woman has many people talking.
Meet the lady who says she’s been shaving her facial hair in shame for decades but not anymore because it’s just not worth it.
Feeling as confident as ever in her true natural and hairy skin, she has ditched all of her razors to get a look that might sound bizarre and odd to some but she’s embracing it with a bang.
“I feel so confident now. I don’t know why I used to hide it. It’s a part of my identity and I just don’t feel shameful about it”- she explained.
And while she may be getting plenty of stares while using public transport or going out on the streets, it just doesn’t bother her anymore.
“Yes, people stare. And that’s ok. I don’t mind as long as they’re curious. I feel unique and empowered. But most of all, I feel happy that I can be confident about who I am and what I look like”- she continued.
Anissa Bennett says she spent decades facing people’s criticism about the way she appeared. Moreover, the Canadian native adds that a time had come when she was afraid to leave her home because her self-esteem became so low.
But out of nowhere, she’s gotten newfound confidence that says, ‘I don’t care about what you think. This is me so deal with it!’
Bennett says the world we live in is so judgmental that it’s scary sometimes. Similarly, she shed light on how her hormonal condition has left her looking like this. At the age of 12, she was diagnosed with PCOS and that is why she has more hair growth than other women.
After seeing her story, this woman hopes to inspire other females to come forward and shut haters and trolls down because it’s none of their business passing judgements when they’ve got zero clue about a person’s path.
