Kanye West and wife Bianca Censori have sparked fury among Italians during their visit to the ancient city of Venice.
The celebrity couple last week rented a water taxi in Venice to explore the city of bridges and engage in lewd acts in the process.
At one instance, the rapper was seen exposing his bare bottom to the tourists while his wife placed her head in his lap.
Following their indecent exposure, the couple came under fire with furious Italians branding them as “disrespectful” and “disgusting.”
Among them was Venezia Turismo Motoscafi – the company that rented the water taxi to Kanye and Bianca – whose reps told Daily Mail Australia that they were unaware of the pair’s indecent exposure until the photos of them surfaced on the internet.
“On board, the driver had to keep a lookout for traffic and did not see these obscenities. If this had happened, he would have immediately disembarked and reported the transgressors to those in authority,” the company insisted.
“In addition, there was a third person on board the taxi, who accompanied Mr. and Mrs. West, who obstructed the captain’s view to the stern in any case.”
The water taxi company further slammed the company saying they “completely dissociate ourselves from such acts and behavior.”
“Mr. West and his wife will certainly no longer be welcome on board our company’s boats,” the statement concluded.
Meanwhile, critics took a jab at the couple on the internet and questioned why they weren’t arrested and fined for their lewd acts in public.
“Italian authorities need to arrest them for indecency doing that lewd and disgusting behavior in public. There are clearly crowds, kids probably saw,” someone wrote.
“They should be arrested and fined like everyone else would be,” another said.
A third insisted: “They should be banned from the country for life.”
