Awfully terrifying reports are making their way out of the United Kingdom regarding Archie Battersbee’s case that has left so many on the verge of tears.
According to local media reports, Archie’s father has suffered a stroke, just moments before the shocking judges’ ruling to have his little son’s life support machine switched off arrived.
Archie’s parents have been struggling to have their son’s life support machine switched on for quite a while now, despite being given the red signal from the court last week. But the parents refused to back down and appealed against the judge’s verdict.
But today, their appeal was rejected and the court ordered that their son’s machine needed to be switched off, after taking a closer look at the case with discussion from medical experts.
“He is our little son. He deserves to get the time to come out of this. I know and believe he will”- these were the words of Archie’s heartbroken mom who promised to fight for her son till her last breath. But the recent news of her husband falling ill has really left many at a complete loss of words.
Paul Battersbee who is in his 50s continued to fight long and hard for his son’s campaign so that his life support machine wouldn’t be switched off and while doing so, his own health has comprised with reports confirming how he is seeking emergency treatment for his condition.
The family’s lawyers confirmed the heartbreaking news and stated that his wife is by his side. They have asked others to maintain privacy and give the family their time while requesting the Appeal judges to respectfully delay the verdict.
Archie’s mom continues to call the judges’ behavior disgusting as they chose to carry on with the hearing despite her husband being rushed to a nearby local hospital for his treatment.
