BREAKING: Joe Biden Speaks Out After Millions Of Women Face Being BANNED From Getting Abortion

Joe Biden has spoken out after SCOTUS’s “unamerican” decision to overturn the Roe v Wade anti-abortion ruling.

On Friday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of overturning the 1973 Roe v Wade ruling that protected women’s liberty and their rights to abortion across the nation.

With the 410 U.S. 113 (1973) case overturned, millions of women from states ruled by Republican anti-abortion leaders – who already enacted abortion restrictions in the past – now face being banned from getting an abortion completely.

Following the ruling’s overturn, at least 22 states such as Texas, Idaho, Arizona, and more, are likely to completely illegalize or severely restrict abortion.

President Joe Biden has since lashed out at SCOTUS and called their decision “unAmerican,” “wrong,” and “extreme.”

“Today, the Supreme Court of the United States expressly took away a constitutional right from the American people that it had already recognized,” the president said in an address from the White House.

“They didn’t limit it.  They simply took it away.  That’s never been done to a right so important to so many Americans. But they did it. And it’s a sad day for the Court and for the country.”

He continued: “This landmark case protected a woman’s right to choose, her right to make intensely personal decisions with her doctor, free from the interference of politics.

“It reaffirmed basic principles of equality — that women have the power to control their own destiny.  And it reinforced the fundamental right of privacy — the right of each of us to choose how to live our lives. Now, with Roe gone, let’s be very clear: The health and life of women in this nation are now at risk.”

After reiterating the risks associated with the dismissal of Roe v Wade, Biden went on to blame Trump for the historic decision saying three justices who ruled in favor of overturning the ruling were appointed by the former president.

Biden also warned that the new ruling will come with “real” and “immediate” consequences and put the health of millions of women at risk.

“So extreme that women could be punished for protecting their health. So extreme that doctors will be criminalized for fulfilling their duty to care,” he added.

While the 46th US President admitted this is a sad day for the country, he insisted that the fight is not over and that it will be up to the voters to restore women’s rights nationwide.

“Let me be very clear and unambiguous: The only way we can secure a woman’s right to choose and the balance that existed is for Congress to restore the protections of Roe v. Wade as federal law,” Biden explained.

“No executive action from the President can do that. And if Congress, as it appears, lacks the vote — votes to do that now, voters need to make their voices heard.

“This fall, we must elect more senators and representatives who will codify a woman’s right to choose into federal law once again, elect more state leaders to protect this right at the local level.”

The president continued: “We need to restore the protections of Roe as law of the land. We need to elect officials who will do that.

“Until then, I will do all in my power to protect a woman’s right in states where they will face the consequences of today’s decision.”
