Jane Fonda Says She’s ‘READY TO DIE’ After Living A ‘Great Life’


Jane Fonda has spoken out about the taboo topic of death and revealed that she’s not afraid of her life coming to an end.

The 84-year-old American actress, activist, and former fashion model told Entertainment Tonight that she is “ready” to die while insisting she is aware that she isn’t “going to be around much longer.”

The two-time Oscar winner also said she is prepared for her departure from this world while living with no regrets knowing that she had a “great life.”

“When you get to be my age you better be aware of the amount of time that is behind of you as opposed to in front of you, I mean that is just realistic,” the Grace and Frankie star said.

“I’m not afraid of going, I’m ready, I’ve had a great life.”

While the movie icon admitted she wasn’t looking forward to meeting her end, she suggested it was better to accept the inevitable and be prepared for it.

“Not that I want to go, but I’m aware that it’s going to be sooner rather than later,” she added.

Fonda’s bombshell interview comes shortly after she revealed that she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma – a type of cancer that starts in the lymphatic system.

“This is a very treatable cancer. Eighty percent of people survive, so I feel very lucky,” she wrote on Instagram when she announced the news in September.

“I’m also lucky because I have health insurance and access to the best doctors and treatments. I realize, and it’s painful, that I am privileged in this.”

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about coming to terms with her aging body, Fonda also revealed that her family will gather for her 85th birthday this upcoming December.

“My family will be there. My daughter and grandkids will come in from Vermont and my son and his wife and child, who live in Los Angeles, and a few friends will come over, and we’ll just we’ll have a quiet time,” she explained.
