Tragic reports are coming in from Virginia where a 7-year-old girl was mauled to death by a Rottweiler.
According to local media reports, the child was identified as Olivia Grace Floyd who passed away from suffering from the most vicious dog injuries. And now, both of her grandparents have been jailed after reports claim the incident took place at their residence last year in January.
Sources revealed how both grandparents had been arrested and were then charged for non-capital murder. In the same way, reports claim that they had been hit with charges related to abuse as well as child cruelty, shocking other loved ones and community members in the vicinity.
At the same time, local media reports spoke in detail about how the child’s parents are now also under police custody and charged with both child cruelty as well as injury following the tragic incident.
The suspected dog that carried out the brutal attack was said to be 120 pounds in weight and even had a gruesome history related to violence. And ever since the attack took place, he had been destroyed by relevant authorities too.
The exact location of the heartbreaking incident was stated to be Waynesboro where the child had been rushed by paramedics who feared for her life, taking into consideration the severity of her injuries. But as soon as she arrived, she had been declared dead by medical experts.
Recently, the identities of the grandparents had been revealed. They included her step grandad named Stephen Kachmar and her grandmom named Penny Lee.
The couple will now face up to 70 years behind bars while the child’s parents will face half as many years in prison as confirmed by relevant authorities following the case.
