Ivana Trump has been declared dead after she was found “unresponsive” and “unconscious” in her NYC home.
The 73-year-old Czech-American media personality and businesswoman, who was married to Former President Donald Trump from 1977 to 1992, was reportedly found dead at the bottom of the staircase in her New York City townhouse.
The grisly discovery took place just before 1 pm on Thursday while the police were performing a wellness check on the elderly lady.
While the official cause of death is yet to be confirmed, it is believed that Ivana may have suffered a cardiac arrest before plummeting down the stairs, the New York Post reported.
Following the shocking discovery, Ivana and Donald Trump’s youngest child, Eric Trump, was spotted at the NYC residence together with his wife Lara.
Visibly upset and shocked by the events, Eric told the reporters at the scene that today was a “very sad day” before leaving the scene.
Ivana Trump is survived by her three children including Eric Trump, 38, Ivanka Trump, 40, and Donald Trump Jr., 44.
“Our mother was an incredible woman – a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend,” Ivana’s children expressed in a statement obtained by DailyMail.com.
“Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination.
“She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.”
Paying a tribute to the former model was also Former President Donald Trump who branded his ex-wife as an “amazing” and “beautiful” woman.
“I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City,” Trump wrote in his Truth Social post.
He continued: “She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric.
“She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest in Peace, Ivana!”
