At least 18 female guards have reportedly been fired from one of Britain’s largest and most prominent jails.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to confirm how things started to get awfully cozy and comfortable between the inmates and the guards and it could no longer be ignored.
The investigation’s findings are definitely terrifying, considering so much was happening at the United Kingdom’s largest jails with zero supervision.
Moreover, seeing so many female guards on the other side of the prison bars was daunting to others. As these were the same women that authorities looked up to in terms of ensuring the security of inmates in jail. But the fact that they were themselves involved in the crime said so much.
Three prison guards were called out amongst all others for having the longest-running affairs. Therefore, they would be spending the greatest amount of time behind bars, sources have gone on to mention.
The fact that they were involved with men who were placed in Category C for the sort of offenses they committed had people in absolute shock.
The respective authorities have launched anti-corruption training in an attempt to prevent such startling incidents from arising in the future as confirmed by Birmingham Live today.
But what is astonishing is how so many of these illegal affairs continued to take place for so many years. This was a huge loophole in terms of security, reports went on to add.
So many of the men that these women engaged with were categorized as dangerous and that is what surprised the authorities. Some were serving sentences that were nearly 12 years long. And their crimes included some of the most dangerous ones of them all.
