Grieving Father Of 14-Year-Old Girl Who Was SHOT Along With 13 Other Children Reads Heartbreaking Statement In Court


The grieving father of a 14-year-old girl who tragically died after being shot during the Parkland school massacre read his heartbreaking statement in court.

Dr. Ilan Alhadeff told gunman Nicolas Cruz that he is “living in anger” after his daughter Alyssa, 14, was shot at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Now 23, Cruz reportedly went on a shooting rampage on February 14, 2018, taking the lives of 14 students and three teachers.

The jury have been shown graphic photos of the victims and heard impact statements from the grieving families.

“My first-born daughter, daddy’s girl was taken from me!” Alhadeff shouted in court.

“I get to watch my friends, my neighbors, colleagues spend time enjoying their daughters, enjoying all the normal milestones, taking in the normal joys and I only get to watch videos or go to the cemetery to see my daughter.”

The devastated father said that one of his sons, who was still too young to understand his sister’s death, asks to see his sister’s grave ‘from time to time.’

He said that “this is not normal!” and admitted that his heart was “ripped out of my damn chest.”

“Inside I burn like a damn inferno. It took me so long to feel empathy again.”

Alyssa’s heartbroken mother, Lori Alhadeff, also said: “I’m left with a feeling of emptiness. I look around our home and see photo albums that will never be filled.”

Mrs. Alhadeff choked up when describing her daughter as her “best friend and love of my life.”

Alyssa’s grandmother, Theresa Robinovitz, also started her statement by saying “living after the death of a child is beyond tears.”

She revealed that she has been seeing a psychologist for anxiety and depression since her granddaughter died.

Robinovitz said that anger “has replaced the pure joy of living each day.”
