78-Year-Old Grandmother Was Assaulted By Russian Soldiers In Village Where A 13-Year-Old Child Was Killed


Russian soldiers have allegedly assaulted a 78-year-old grandmother and a 16-year-old child in a Ukrainian village, a senior military official said.

Vladimir Putin’s troops shelled a boat that was evacuating more than ten civilians from the Kherson region, taking the lives of four people including a 13-year-old child, said Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the military administration of Kryvyi Rih.

He also said that Ukrainians are being ‘confronted with more and more horror stories.’

This is the latest in the series of atrocities committed against Ukrainians by Russian troops.

In a video shared on Facebook, Vilkul said: “There is news that makes my blood run cold in my veins.

“While rebuilding a peaceful life in the villages liberated in the Kherson region, a task we are currently working on, we are confronted with more and more horror stories.

“For example, the rape of a 16-year-old pregnant girl and a 78-year-old grandmother in one of the villages towards (the river) Ingulets.”

Vilkul said that Russian ‘orcs’ on the bank of the Kakhovka reservoir opened fire on a boat that was evacuating 14 people from Kherson region.

Two men, one woman, and a 13-year-old child died as a result of the attack, seven people were hospitalized, and two were missing.

“It was the seventh voyage that boat had made. B***ards. This is a war crime, this should be taken to a court in The Hague,” he added.

In east Ukraine today, at least 39 people were killed and 87 injured when two Russian rockets hit a railway station as thousands of people tried to reach safer areas of the country.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Instagram: “(Russian troops) are cynically destroying the civilian population. This is an evil that has no limits. And if it is not punished, it will never stop.”
