Many people turn to online dating applications such as Tinder in the hopes of meeting their perfect match.
While it does end up working for some, for others, it’s been shown to be an absolute disaster. And this next story is the perfect example of the latter and why such platforms can’t be trusted.
One author is speaking up about her horror after she met her match on Tinder and opted to have a date night out with him. But she was unaware of the horrifying mess she was going to get herself into.
36-year-old Zoe Rosi opened up about how she went in with zero expectations in 2018. But she thought she got along with her partner who turned out to be her abuser.
He reportedly spiked her drink and that ended up with him r*ping her. But he played it off cleverly as a one-night stand with her, which clearly wasn’t as she was not in her senses to give him the consent to sleep with her.
“At first, I blamed no one but myself. I said this is all of my fault and no one else’s!”- she further went on to mention.
The reason why she blamed herself was that she didn’t know at first that her drink was actually spiked. But by the time she did, it was just too late.
Hence, she couldn’t push for a DNA test as evidence of the abuse and had to suffer in silence.
The author furthermore goes on to share how she felt that she was some sort of a worthless person. It was really confusing for her at the start as she had a lot of hazy recollections of what went on and what had taken place.
But after writing her new book, she says that she has found a new creative outlet and is speaking out publicly on the matter to help raise awareness for others using online dating applications.
