A young girl was stabbed to death in an unprovoked attack while walking in the town center.
A 9-year-old girl, who has not yet been named by the police, reportedly succumbed to fatal wounds after being stabbed while walking down Fountain Lane in Boston, England.
Following the shocking daytime stabbing, the police kicked off an investigation and launched a manhunt for the suspect.
As of this writing, the suspect(s) remains at large and the police are looking for tips that could lead them to apprehend the child’s killer.
The grisly murder took place near Boston’s St Botolph’s Church, whereas the officers vowed to maintain a presence in the area “for the foreseeable future.”
“The young girl’s parents have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time. Her family will be supported by specialist trained officers,” Lincolnshire Police revealed.

Meanwhile, Matt Warman, a member of the parliament for Boston and Skegness, expressed his shock over the incident and vowed to help with the manhunt as he can.
“Profoundly shocking news in Boston this evening. I have spoken to senior officers locally and am hugely grateful for all the emergency services’ work,” the MP said.
“I have also been in contact with Policing Minister Tom Pursglove to ensure that any national help that might be useful is made available as quickly as possible.”
