A young girl was among twenty people killed in a recent Russian missile strike in Ukraine.
As the war continues to rage on in Europe, Russia committed yet another atrocity as it bombed the western-central Ukrainian city of Vinnystya.
According to the reports, Russia’s Black Sea Fleet launched a Kalibr missile just before 11 am on Thursday. The missile came crashing down on an office block in Vinnystya at 10.50 am local time.
It is believed that at least twenty people died in the blast and that an additional 90 were injured – 50 of them severely.
Among the deceased victims was 4-year-old Liza Dmitrieva who was pictured walking in the area with her mother, Irina, just moments before the blast.
Local authorities confirmed that the blast took place some one hour after Liza was last pictured pushing her stroller. At the time of the blast, the young girl was allegedly sitting in her stroller which was found bloodied on the scene after the explosion.
Meanwhile, Liza’s mom, Irina, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and is currently fighting for her life.
Following the missile attack, Ukraine’s President Zelensky slammed Russia and accused them of committing “an open act of terrorism.”
While Zelensky claimed there were no military targets in the city, Russia falsely claimed they were targeting “Nazis” in their attack.
“Every day, Russia destroys the civilian population, kills Ukrainian children, directs rockets at civilian objects where there is nothing military,” Zelensky said.
“What is this, if not an open act of terrorism? Inhumans. A killer country. A terrorist country.”
