A 5-year-old girl who was recently adopted by a same-gender couple was thrown out of her own school in Louisiana recently.
According to sources from local media outlets, the young child was asked to leave the kindergarten immediately after the school’s administration came to know about her family background.
And by that, we mean the fact that her parents included lesbian mothers. Moreover, the school justified its cruel actions by stating how the child’s family background just didn’t go in line with the Christian school’s policy and values.
The news has sparked widespread shock and outrage against the educational institution, not to mention the child’s own parents. They called the decision a huge slap in their faces.
5-year-old Zoey Parker reportedly got the boot from her school named The Bible Baptist Academy which happens to be located in DeQuincy in Louisiana. This was just a few days before she got all excited to begin her new academic session.
Little Zoey had been adopted by her parents named Emily and Jennie on the 3rd of this month. And just three days later, the parents found out the heartbreaking news that she would no longer be welcomed anymore.
The Parkers have since then gone on to review the school’s policy as they continue to receive so much love and support after the heartbreaking incident went viral online.
Meanwhile, there are a number of other Christian schools in the vicinity that are welcoming the child with open arms while condemning the actions brought forward by the school in question.
Since then, little Zoey has been enrolled in one of the other schools this week. For now, an investigation regarding the school is taking place as many claim their behavior and the way they handled the whole matter was outrageous.
