A total of 17 alleged gang members have reportedly been arrested for carrying out a series of shootings in New York.
According to local media reports, the 17 members found included 14 teenagers that were responsible for a long list of crimes including a spate of shootings and four murders as well.
They were charged in a 118 count indictment that was held in Brooklyn on Tuesday, as announced by officials recently.
The accused were also guilty of hunting down rival gang members as well as carrying out a long list of armed assaults that resulted in the death of four people and also wounded at least 10 others in the process. This was confirmed by the Brooklyn District Attorney recently.
The District Attorney also shed light on how their young age was one of the most disturbing aspects of this case as the majority of accused criminals were teenagers. And some were as young as 14 or 15 years in age when they committed the heinous crimes.
“It is truly heartbreaking to see some of our city’s youngest citizens serving as criminals in the country and they’re involved in both gang and gun violence. It’s truly destructive as well as devastating too,” he went on to claim.
Meanwhile, the accused baby-faced killers comprised of their own gan called the YPF gang that formed an alliance of up to three different street gangs from Brownsville in East New York as well as Fort Greene.
They all banded together so they could increase their manpower and wage a war against their long list of enemies, confirmed the prosecutor’s side.
Horrifying videos obtained as evidence as the killers showed the young teens flaunting their weapons via a long series of posts on social media, and this includes one where a member shoves a gun through a puppy’s mouth as well.
