Being late is never fun but sometimes you’re left in a helpless situation where all you can do is pray to be on time.
One mother is taking her dilemma to TikTok, sharing with her followers how she was forced to pay her son’s school $116 for arriving late to pick him up.
The news made the mom furious and she found the new rules in place to be absolutely bizarre and absurd. Moreover, she asked netizens what they thought of the policy and if that was even fair because she does not think so.
She even mentioned how the school was reportedly charging her $2 per minute after the clock struck the time for the day’s end. And she felt that was a little too much for her liking.
The furious mother says the director of the school just walked up to her and handed over the bill.
Moreover, she was just so taken aback as to what in the world was going on. But it was not only her but one of the teachers on duty too who felt this behavior wasn’t exactly appropriate and she did feel bad for the mother.
What was even more interesting is how the mother revealed that all the money collected is not going to the school. It actually ends up in the pocket of the teachers that are put on duty to look after the kids as extra time chores.
Netizens watching the video were divided on the behavior. While some felt it was the right thing to do, considering the fact that it would better discipline both teachers and students to be on time in the morning and go home in the afternoon, others claimed that it’s just bizarre as sometimes being late is the only choice some people may have.
