Eliza Fletcher’s killer could soon be facing the death penalty after he was recently charged with murder.
According to local media outlets, Cleotha Abston-Henderson has been charged with first-degree murder in regards to the mother of two Eliza Fletcher.
The 38-year-old was recently denied bail and has been accused of kidnapping her as she was out and about jogging at 4:30 am on Friday. But little did she know that she would never return, sources explained.
Her human remains were found in an abandoned home which cops stumbled upon while carrying out an urgent hunt for her. They claim to have smelled a foul odor and that’s when they realized it was indeed her.
Her shorts were also located in the same area instead of a large trash bag, sources revealed. The accused roamed around with the victim for one and a half hours before finally dumping her inside the home in Memphis.
“He violently bundled her up inside his SUV”- explained the cops recently after her exhaustive search came to a tragic end.
Abston-Henderson was previously jailed for 22 years after kidnapping a lawyer in Memphis in 2000, driving him around for a while with a gun pointing toward his head.
Meanwhile, previous records have gone on to speak about how he had been turned into the cops for charges related to r*pe of a male and a few other assaults before he turned 16. He was said to be handed into the juvenile court at the age of 11.
Prosecutors have confirmed that the duo never met before. And since the state of Tennessee happens to be one linked to a death penalty, then chances are high that he’d be served one soon.
