Dick Van Dyke may be 97 years old but he’s making some bold claims about his life and his wife.

The celeb says that his wife maybe half of his age but she is what keeps him alive and kicking on a daily basis.

Dick Van Dyke says that turning 97 may appear to be a lot for some people but for him, it was not. He is loving his life and takes it one step at a time.

But if there is one thing that keeps him feeling loved and going, it’s his beautiful wife. Many have called out the couple for their very mismatched age differences. But that does not bother him.

The renowned Mary Poppins legend further started to explain in detail about his upcoming 98th birthday. This was during a recent live interview with Yahoo.

The actor, entertainer, and comedian said that he still likes to keep his youthful spirit and there are several things that keep him in that particular manner.

“Yes, I have defied the entire aging process and continue to maintain this youthful aura about me. I get asked all the time what it is that has me looking and feeling like I do”- he added.

Firstly, he gave great credit to areas where it was due like his good genes. Secondly and most importantly, his wife Arlene Silver was given credit to help him feel so young and energized all of the time.

The 51-year-old has been by the celeb’s side for the past 11 years and they’re still going strong. He further credited the fact that maintaining a positive attitude is quintessential to looking and feeling great. And she is all that he needs to stay happy and smiling most of the time.
