PICTURED: Heartbreak As Teenage Boy Who Drowned After Going For A Dip In The River To ‘Cool Off’ Is Identified


The young teenage boy who tragically drowned after going for a dip in the River Thames to cool off has been pictured for the first time.

According to local media reports, the teen hated the water and didn’t even know how to swim. But the current heatwave left him with no choice but to pay a visit to the River Thames as a means of cooling off. But little did he know that it would end up taking his life.

The victim was identified as 14-year-old Brian Sasu who tagged along with his close friends at Tagg’s Island, which is located in Hampton, London.

His family says that their child didn’t know how to swim and every time he saw the water, he would be fearful. And seeing his death take place due to drowning was just too much for them to bear.

This has made citizens take some drastic measures as precaution like staying indoors and keeping kids away from school as the heatwave continues to wreak havoc.

The victim’s parents are in a state of shock and mourning over the tragedy that they never anticipated.

“No one can ever prepare you for something like this. I don’t know what to say. I’m just at a complete loss for words”- the mother continued.

The tragedy took place during the afternoon hours of Monday and that’s when the victim’s parents reported their son missing to the cops.

Officers began a search operation using trained equipment and the trained members of the police force who managed to retrieve the teen’s dead body from inside.
