Johnny Depp and Amber Heard may have been done with their divorce years ago but they’ve decided to air their dirty laundry in the eyes of the public via a multimillion-dollar lawsuit.
But despite the allegations being thrown at Johnny Depp as a wife-beater and an abusive alcoholic, many wonder why Christian Dior is still sticking by the actor’s side and have refused to remove him as the face of their ever-so-popular men’s cologne called Sauvage.
Despite popular opinion, many people feel the designer label is trying to cash in on as many profits as they can, as the very public and dramatic case continues with Johnny Depp taking the stand and testifying against all the allegations put up against him.
Meanwhile, it’s no surprise that fans are also sticking by the actor’s side and have pledged to continue purchasing the famous cologne because of the actor and how they think he’s innocent.
Depp has been a famous face for the brand for a number of years now and the aftershave item appears to be selling like hotcakes.
In the past, we saw actor Johnny Depp be deemed guilty by a British court that felt there was enough evidence to call the actor out as an abusive husband. Therefore, he was ordered by The Sun to pay a hefty amount in terms of legal fees.
But the case in America has taken a completely different route. It now appears there’s more evidence of Amber Heard abusing her husband. Moreover, Johnny Depp continues to say that he has never struck any woman in his life.
Similarly, it was appalling for many to see how Amber Heard was also recently accused of lying when her lawyers claimed she used a particular makeup brand’s concealer to cover up her bruises from the abuse inflicted by Johnny Depp.
The makeup brand stated that the concealer in question was never present at the time.
For now, many feel Dior should have removed Johnny Depp from the face of their brand but the fact that he remains as their campaign’s face has many second-guessing the brand’s motives and how they could be keen on minting money now more than ever.
