A man has been held on the suspicion of killing his girlfriend and then going on to take the lives of her family members too.
Reports from cops revealed how the suspect had only met the family once and to take such a bold decision has really left authorities at a loss for words.
The suspect has been identified as Joshua Jerome Derriviere Jacques who is said to be 28 years old. He was the lover of one of the victims, whom he brutally stabbed with the help of a knife.
29-year-old Samantha was killed alongside her mother, grandmother, and her grandmother’s partner.
The relatives are said to have met the suspect last week. He had been friends with Samantha for a while, as revealed by one of the victim’s friends.
Cops also shed light on how neighbors heard sounds of screaming during the later hours of the night. And that’s what led them to call the police and 911 rescue officials.
The police were able to make a forced entry into the home but it was too late. The victims had been stabbed but they get a hold of the suspect who was immediately arrested.
Other reports spoke in detail about how the suspect was very quick on his feet and tried hard to getaway. But he was later tasered and that’s what slowed him down, leading to his arrest in the end.
As investigations into the shocking but tragic case continue, cops are trying to gather more evidence before coming to a final conclusion as to what really went on that day that made the suspect behave in such a bizarre manner.
