BREAKING: Five Teen Ballet Dancers Left Seriously Injured After Hit-And-Run Driver Plowed Into Their Car


Five teen ballet dancers ended up in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver who ran the red light before slamming into their car on Saturday.

Katrina Vija, Camille Williamson, Liv Wreck, Saori Maeda, and Rhyann Diaz were driving through Seal Beach, California, when a Mercedes crashed into the group after running a red light.

According to the reports, the five friends had just finished their ballet class and were on their way to dinner when the incident took place.

After the crash, the driver of the Mercedes fled the scene on foot, leaving the girls to fight for their lives while waiting for emergency services to arrive at the scene.

While all five girls survived the crash, they suffered serious injuries in the collision and remain in the hospital for treatment.

The police have since launched a manhunt for the driver who caused the crash. He has been described as a male, possibly Hispanic, aged between 18 and 20.

Meanwhile, David & Renee Kim, the Artistic Directors of the Los Alamitos Ballet School and owners of Premier Dancer Arts of Los Alamitos, launched a GoFundMe page to raise funds for the girls’ medical expenses.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share that five of our beloved company dancers were involved in a severe car accident this past Saturday evening. While the dancers have sustained a multitude of serious injuries, we are able to share good news that all five have survived and will journey on their road to recovery,” the tragic post reads.

“As we have coached these wonderful young ladies in their ballet training for many years and currently teach them on a daily basis, all five are more than just students to us and are truly like family.

“While this terrible accident has left us devastated and heartbroken, we know our girls are strong, resilient individuals who will overcome this tragedy. Please know that the dancers are receiving the best care possible, but with that comes many expenses to ensure that they are each brought back to full health.”
