Damar Hamlin has left the world stunned after showing up to the Super Bowl in highly offensive attire.
The leading celeb made a comeback appearance after suffering a cardiac arrest, just six weeks back. But we’re not quite sure that this is the way he may have wished to be seen in the public eye as many fans were quick to bash the superstar for his blasphemous jacket.
The part that many people found to be so interesting is how the celeb had to ask his parents to inform him about what was wrong with his attire. And that was because he failed to see it himself, sources have mentioned.
But once they did call it out, and mentioned the reason, the Buffalo Bills star wasted no time in issuing the apology statement.
The star player tried to justify his behavior by mentioning how he wore it as a sign to show others that he was eternally thankful to be back and alive and healthy again.
The news comes after he suffered from a serious cardiac arrest on the field. On that note, he was rushed to a nearby medical facility by paramedics with fellow team members and audience members watching the horrifying and tragic scenes happen in front of them.
Hamlin was pictured donning the blue and white letterman jacket that had several wordings and designs seen around it. But what is it that people found offensive?
Well, it featured an altered image of Jesus on the front, toward the left-hand breast pocket. The same was true for the back of the jacket which featured the word Eternal printed across the back.
He quickly took to his account on Twitter to reveal how sorry he was for the behavior and understands how it may have hurt many people’s sentiments. But he wanted them to know that was never his intention in the first place.
