77-year-old Hellen Mirren is blasting her critics for claiming she’s too old to have long hair.
The celeb says she is beyond shocked at the type of things people say to her regarding her looks and now, she’s taking a stand against all of her critics for passing some of the most absurd comments.
The actress expressed her absolute disbelief at the ageist stereotype being thrown against her name because she’s now 77 and not allowed to live life according to her will.
Moreover, the incident sparked outrage for obvious reasons as fans agreed with how wrong and disrespectful the behavior was in general.
The actress who hails from the United Kingdom has been a famous name in the industry for years. She’s played leading roles in a number of different films and that includes the likes of The Queen, Prime Suspect, 1923, Women in Gold, and The Dukes.
While the celeb has been known for flaunting her short hair for so long, she opted to give fans something great to talk about.
The actress revealed how she has been busy growing her hair for a while now. She began the experiment during the Covid-19 pandemic and really adored the idea.
Therefore, she thought the look suited her and hence carried on with it. But the response she got from some judgemental critics really did take her by surprise, she confirmed.
“I honestly think it’s all actually really cool. My hair grew and grew and grew because I was not cutting it. And I loved how different it looked and people told me it suited me. But then I got comments like, you’re old and you shouldn’t have long hair!”- she explained during her latest interview.
And to that, she was appalled because looking and feeling great should never have any age limit attached, she went on to mention.
